I just have to rave here about this amazing resource. WFMU is a free form radio station in New York . Last year they started an incredible blog available at http://blog.wfmu.org/. There is a fantastic series on AM and shortwave radio, a whole bunch of really interesting podcasts, and much much more. Check it out.
